It's really confusing, and not many people talk about this. Some games like csgo, even tho they're cpu intensive, they will actually do the exact opposite, and increase the input latency when capped at the average fps. That by capping the framerate and making your gpu work rate at about 75% will help. Now don't be mistaken that this is for every game out there. You'll find by capping the framerate at your "average" framerate ingame, which you can find just by playing and looking at your framerate while shooting / using abilites / moving / fighting or whatever, for me average framerate is about "153 FPS", and when uncapped and not doing anything it goes to "220 fps", now by capping my framerate to "144 FPS" my gpu's work rate lowers, which you can see if you open task manager, and my input latency decreased, I can tell, because the shots feel allot more responsive and so does the movement with the mouse. About the gpu tho, lowering the gpu's amount of work by capping the framerate and decreasing quality of the game will result in less input lag. Now that's only in a few games, but it seems because the game is cpu intensive, now that they put multi threading option in the game, it helps allot with the frames. Here's what i found tho, By capping your framerate and finding the exact spot where you get average frames, you will get less input lag. I think that some of these comments are just bad players, and finding an excuse for being bad. I've copied and pasted my comment on here that i posted on meSsiah_-'s link, Read it and listen to my thoughts about this.
